Snow-shoe hiking
Snow-shoe hiking has become very popular in recent years and not without good reason: it combines sporting activity with fun and fresh mountain air.
From Meransen we recommend you take a tour to the Zassler Hut, the Plattspitze (2,672 m), or the Moser Hut. Other worthwhile destinations are the Fane Alm, the Rodenecker Alm and the Brixner Hut. If you prefer company on your hikes through the winter landscape, on Tuesdays you can join a tour with a qualified mountain and skiing guide. Please register in the tourist information office.
Winter hiking on the sunny plateau of Meransen
Meransen is one of the sunniest villages in South Tyrol. Many hours of sunshine make walks along tracks through meadows and the village itself an appealing prospect even in winter. Views across a snowy white landscape, fresh mountain air and peace and quiet will restore body and mind.
